Tour Description

The tour begins at the stables which are located on the west end of the island. There your tour guide, Luis will greet you and prepare you for the horseback riding and eco-tour adventure!

You will first climb to the top of the hill and then begin your descent heading west toward West Bay Beach. The vistas of the ocean and reef will take your breath away! Arriving at the beach/shore you will feel the ocean breezes of the trade winds; to think these breezes began off the coast of Africa; slowly and relentlessly they crossed the Caribbean only now to be felt by you and your horse . . . let him run now or just sit for a "perfect moment."

From the beach you will slowly ascend back up the hill heading in a south-easterly direction. The area is partially wooded. The dirt road trail winds left and then right and then left again eventually revealing a 300 degree shaped bay we call "Big Key Hole Bay." You are now about 2500 ft. above sea level and can see most of the south side of Roatan - make sure you have your camera handy, you will definitely want to take a photo here!

The tour continues again heading down the hill and eventually arriving at the "Iron Shore." It took mother nature millions of years to create these amazingly beautiful black coral rock formations. You will marvel at how something so rough and imposing can be so spectacularly beautiful; all at the same time!
